Watch the moment Princess Kate and Princess Charlotte pay their mark of respect at Trooping the Colour
The mother-daughter pair was seen on camera bowing their heads as they passed the Colour on their way to the Horse Guards parade on Sunday, amidst the pomp and circumstance of the festivities.
William and Catherine’s daughter was the only young royal in sight as she flawlessly imitated her mother, Princess Catherine, 42, and her three children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis, traveled in a glass state coach.
Princess Catherine made a stunning comeback to the public eye and looked stunning in a shimmering white dress designed by Jenny Packham. Her elegant outfit included long sleeves, a stunning statement neck bow, and elegant black piping around the neck.
Princess Charlotte wore a nautical navy dress with a clean white bow around her collar, matching her mother’s ensemble. She accessorized her blonde hair with a matching white bow and completed her ensemble with a classy pair of white Mary Jane flats.
In the meantime, Prince George and Prince Louis looked alike in their navy suits, immaculate white shirts, and sky blue ties.
Catherine made her first formal public appearance since Christmas Day with this appearance. The three-time royal mother has been quiet since disclosing her cancer diagnosis, and she only announced her attendance via a private message the day before.
“I am making good progress, but as anyone going through chemotherapy will know, there are good days and bad days,” she said.
“On bad days, you have to give in to your body’s need for rest because you feel weak and exhausted. However, you want to take full advantage of feeling well on your good days when you feel stronger.”
“I’m getting better at having patience, especially when something is unclear. embracing each day as it comes, paying attention to my health, and granting myself permission to use this crucial time for healing. I sincerely appreciate your unwavering understanding and the courage with which you have all shared your stories with me.
Since late February, Catherine has been undergoing treatment for an unidentified type of cancer. When she first had abdominal surgery in January, doctors thought her illness wasn’t cancerous. Post-operative testing, however, revealed the presence of cancer.
