Royal Family News: Queen Elizabeth Was Closest To William And Kate Before Death
There’s a new report that suggests Queen Elizabeth was particularly close to the Prince and Princess of Wales right before her death. That’s because she found great comfort in not only their company, but also the fact that they helped her out when she needed them the most.
One source close to the situation even says that William and Kate were there when the Queen of England when she was beginning to lose her eyesight. Thankfully, they provided her with much support and great relief.
The insider put it this way, “She struggled terribly with failing eyesight, and had difficulty even lifting a teapot to fill her cup. Her Majesty could hardly see and just didn’t have the strength.”
“She would get terribly frustrated as she hated causing a mess, pouring it over the tray. She asked for a smaller pot and would get frustrated when the staff forgot and brought the big one.”

The tipster also added, “As her strength ebbed away, it brought her immense comfort to know the monarchy could be entrusted to the next two generations.”
Of course, it shouldn’t come as a surprise to anyone that Prince William and Kate Middleton were there when Queen Elizabeth needed them the most. After all, they were just a stone throw’s away from the queen’s residence at Buckingham Palace and later on at Windsor Castle.
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, meanwhile, were already in California and settled with their new life when Queen Eliabeth passed away in 2022. As much as the Duke of Sussex wanted to be there for his beloved grandmother, the distance had gotten in the way.
If Prince Harry still lived in the UK, there’s no doubt that he would have been there for the queen just as much as William and Kate.
So far Buckingham Palace has made no comments about the matter.
