Princess Catherine Just Announced LATEST STATEMENT After Shock End To Wimbledon Career
The Prince couldn’t help but laugh when he spotted a cheeky handmade sign at England’s Euro quarter-final match against Switzerland. He jetted out to Dusseldorf, Germany, to watch the national team take on the Swiss national team, with Trent Alexander-Arnold firing home the winning penalty to set up a semi-final against Netherlands.
Social media platforms were flooded with messages of support, admiration, and heartfelt concern for the Princess of Wales after her rare personal message for her Wimbledon appearance. Catherine has sent a touching tribute to Andy Murray after the tennis ace played in his final match on Thursday. Andy was due to play in the mixed doubles with Emma Raducanu; however, Emma pulled out of the venture on Saturday with stiffness in her wrist. Andy and his brother Jamie crashed out of their doubles match on Thursday. With this pending retirement, it means that Andy’s Wimbledon career has come to an end. The news would have come as a huge disappointment to ticket holders but also to the tennis legend.
The princess usually attends Wimbledon but has been unable to do so this year because of her cancer treatment. The Royals shared an incredible message: “Wimbledon career comes to an end. You should be very proud, @AndyMurray. On behalf of all of us, thank you. C.” Catherine’s love of tennis dates back to her childhood and she has only ever missed Wimbledon once in 2013 when she was heavily pregnant with Prince George. “I’ve watched Wimbledon; it was very much part of my growing up. It’s such a quintessential part of the English summer and I think it really inspires youngsters. Myself, it inspired me when I was younger to get involved in the game. It hasn’t changed either, I think that’s what’s so wonderful,” she expressed.
Many expressed their awe at her strength and dedication, acknowledging the immense effort it took for her to attend the event despite her ongoing health struggles. “Princess Catherine is a true inspiration,” one fan tweeted. “Her courage and commitment to her duties, even in the face of personal challenges, are truly remarkable.” Although she has been unable to attend Wimbledon this year, her parents Michael and Carole were present on the tournament’s fourth day. Carole donned a gorgeous floral summer dress which she paired with a chic white jacket adorned with black buttons. As for the princess’s father, Michael looked smart wearing a blue shirt, yellow tie, and navy blue jacket.
Meanwhile, Prince William will appear in a new TV documentary that aims to change perceptions around homelessness and prove that the problem can be solved. As he prepares to mark one year since the launch of his Homelessness project this week, a new art exhibition at the Saatchi Gallery in London has also been announced. Opening next month at the Saatchi Gallery in London, it aims to help people understand homelessness and inspire optimism that it can be ended. The two-part series, “Prince William: We Can End Homelessness,” which will air on ITV1 and ITVX this autumn, follows the future king as he launches his ambitious project across the UK. Going behind the scenes of his first year’s work, as well as charting the journey of those who have experienced or are currently facing homelessness, it will feature supporters of the five-year program which aims to demonstrate that it is possible to end homelessness.
The prince couldn’t help but laugh when he spotted a cheeky handmade sign at England’s Euro quarterfinal match against Switzerland. He jetted out to Dusseldorf, Germany, to watch the national team take on the Swiss national team, with Trent Alexander-Arnold firing home the winning penalty to set up a semi-final against the Netherlands. However, it was William’s reaction to one sign held up by fans that put a cheesy grin on his face. William, an avid football fan and president of the FA, was seen with a wide smile when he spotted the sign that read, “God Save the Cheese.” The sign was cause for laughter from the royal dad of three, as well as from other royals. His smiles didn’t last long as he settled into his seat for the match, which eventually went all the way to penalties as Bukayo Saka’s long-range strike canceled out Breel Embolo’s opener.
The Prince of Wales hasn’t made the journey to Germany much this summer and was last seen watching his country when they took on Denmark in the group stages. He was seen catching up with friend and fellow royal King Frederik, with the Danish monarch being joined by his youngest daughter, Princess Josephine. Despite the pair being rivals for the match, last month they were seen laughing together at the match in Frankfurt.
