Kensington Palace has issued a rare comment about Catherine, Princess of Wales’s cancer treatment amid rumors of her departure to the United States. Months after Princess Catherine announced that she had been diagnosed with cancer, rumors and conspiracy theories about her highness’s whereabouts continue to multiply. One such theory has spread on social media and has gained credence among some people. Some internet users have speculated that the Princess of Wales has stopped making public appearances in the United Kingdom because she is not in Britain.
According to supporters of this theory, instead of receiving therapy in her native country, Catherine is staying in the United States, more specifically in Houston, Texas. There, she is allegedly receiving treatment at the Monroe Dunaway Anderson Cancer Center. Kensington Palace, which often ignores conspiracy theories, made a rare comment in this case. A spokesman for the Royal Court issued a statement saying the rumors are false. In an article published Monday in the Houston Chronicle, a palace spokesperson denied that the Prince of Wales’s wife is being treated at an American cancer center.
At the same time, representatives of the Texas clinic, which is renowned for its expertise in cancer research and treatment and where celebrities such as tennis star Chris Evert and the late rock guitarist Eddie Van Halen have received therapy, did not comment because of restrictions imposed by patient privacy laws. While some tabloids are now debating whether Catherine will ever return to full royal duties, a source for Bizar magazine shared his opinion on Catherine’s return to royal duties. According to the source, there is no information about her return, as all of Katherine’s attention is currently focused on her health. But to suggest that she will not return to her role is unfair, as it is not true either. Conversations of this nature are mere speculation. When the time is right, the Princess of Wales will resume work.
Her highness personally announced her cancer diagnosis in a video message posted on Royal social media on March 22nd. The princess explained that she took time to build up her strength after the complicated surgery and explained the situation to her children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis. Although the type of cancer and its stage at the time of diagnosis were not named by the Palace, Catherine said in the video that her cancer was in the early stages. With the treatment chemotherapy she is currently undergoing, Princess Catherine last appeared in public on December 25th. On that day, the Princess of Wales joined other members of the royal family on the traditional walk to the Christmas morning service at Sandringham.
