Prince George And Princess Charlotte Learning To Sail In The Family’s “Shrimper” Style Boat
British royal family news reveals that the children of Prince William and Kate Middleton, the Prince and Princess of Wales, have inherited their parents’ fondness for the ocean and sailing.
Both Kate and William are accomplished sailors and this summer two of their three kids, George and Charlotte, have been spotted enjoying the sea aboard a “shrimper’ style vessel on North Norfolk coast.

The family’s wooden boat is described as a ‘Cornish Shrimper’ type, with two sails and a small cabin. The design is inspired by traditional fishing boats and the Wales’ vessel is tied on a marshland creek allegedly accessible via a muddy footpath.
A source spilled that the boat “is kept out of the way because they like to try to keep a low profile.”
Kate continues to recover from a cancer diagnosis shared with the public in February. She and the family are at Anmer Hall, the family’s residence on the Sandringham estate.
Meanwhile, ten-year-old Prince George and nine-year-old Princess Charlotte are taking sailing lessons at a local club.

The club is in an area known as ‘Chelsea-on-Sea.’ According to the Daily Mail, the spot is “popular with well-heeled visitors and second-home owners.”
A villager connected with the sailing club told the outlet that they have seen Kate bring George and Charlotte for lessons.
Apparently Kate watches the children from the shore while they receive expert instruction on the water.

The source added that Prince William sometimes joins his family … they have their own boat on one of the creeks around here, and a beach hut as well.”
The villager said that she expects the youngest child, six-year-old Prince Louis to get in on the action when he is a little older.
Kate has spoken of her love of the ocean and she learned to sail as a child before working as a deckhand on yachts in the Solent in her teen years.
William learned to sail as a child and the couple have had fun racing against each other “including a rain-lashed regatta in the Bahamas two years ago, which ended in victory for the future king.”
Additionally, Kate is patron of the sailing charity 1851 Trust. Last week it was announced that Kate would not attend the annual Trooping the Colour Parade, in the latest sign that she continues to focus on regaining her strength following a course of preventative chemotherapy.
