Prince William and Princess Kate’s touching gesture to hurricane victims
Following Hurricane Beryl’s landfall in Caribbean nations like Grenada, Trinidad and Tobago, and Venezuela, the Prince and Princess of Wales have donated privately to relief efforts.
We are aware that the Prince and Princess of Wales are giving money to the relief efforts on a private basis. They are still keeping a close eye on Hurricane Beryl’s effects. As of this writing, the Category 5 hurricane is heading towards Jamaica, where the royal couple toured in 2022.
Sadly, 16 persons had died as of July 3rd, primarily in Venezuela but also in Grenada and St. Vincent and the Grenadines. Over $1 billion worth of damage has reportedly been done so far.

When William and Catherine went on their royal tour of the Caribbean back in 2022, they had a stop in Jamaica. Trench Town, the hometown of Bob Marley, was one of the highlights of their visit.
The Prince and Princess experienced a two-person bobsleigh during their visit to the town, and they even posed for a selfie with members of the legendary bobsleigh team that served as the inspiration for the movie Cool Runnings.
Later, the now-famous photo was posted on the official Instagram account of the Jamaica Bobsleigh & Skeleton team, to which the royal couple replied.

William and Catherine responded to the post with, “Lovely to meet you all today.” They posted it again on Instagram Stories along with the caption, “Selfie for the archives.”
William gave money to a charity that supports the families of fallen rangers back in 2021. The royal couple has a history of making private donations to causes near and dear to their hearts.
In a tweet, the Thin Green Line Foundation stated: “We are very grateful to The Duke of Cambridge for his recent support through our Fallen Ranger Fund for the families impacted by the devastating loss of six Rangers at Virunga National Park in January.”
William responded to the attack at the time by saying, “I strongly condemn the actions of those responsible for the horrific attack on staff at the Virunga National Park. It is abhorrent.”
“Rangers should be honored, not attacked, for their tireless efforts to safeguard the nearby communities as well as the national park. Never should they be in a situation where their lives are in jeopardy.”
